Pamela R. McNealy
Founder and Executive Director
The Lemonade Stand currently operates twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Girls stay in the group setting until they no longer require the level of supervision that we provide. The group setting is located in and serves residents in the greater Milwaukee County. The State of Wisconsin Department of Children and Family Services as a group licensed the Lemonade Stand as a home for group services. Pamela McNealy, MSW, CAPSW, and CADC who has both the practical experience and the education to lead the organization founded the organization. Pamela is a former Milwaukee County Social Worker with over 25 years of experience. While employed as a Social Worker Mrs. McNealy witnessed first hand young girls abusing substances, performing poorly in school, running away from home and whose life was spinning out of control. Most of these girls dealt with depression, physical and sexual abuse, learning difficulties and residual affects of parental drug abuse. Mrs. McNealy felt called to establish a caring nurturing environment for adolescent girls and as a result, she took early retirement and started the Lemonade Stand The Lemonade Stand is an approved safe harbor and respite for girls between the ages of twelve and eighteen. The Lemonade Stand will accept girls referred by BMCW, schools, police or parents who may have run away, be at risk of running away, out of the control of their parents or struggling with family problems.
